1. What SafeRentRome is
SafeRentRome is an online platform where landlords publish long-term rental listings in Rome and tenants can find them, plus free tools and information to help renters avoid scams. We are not a real-estate agency, we do not act as an intermediary (mediatore) between landlord and tenant, we do not take part in negotiations and we do not receive commissions on rentals. Any rental agreement is made directly between the landlord and the tenant.
2. Free service
Using the website, contacting landlords, publishing a listing, the "Check a listing" service and the scam database are currently free of charge.
3. Verification
The "Verified" badge and the verification report show which checks our team carried out on a listing and when. Checks are made with reasonable care based on the documents and information available at that moment. They reduce the risk of fraud but are not a guarantee about the apartment, the landlord, the contract or future events. Always view the apartment in person, read the contract and never pay before signing.
4. "Check a listing"
Our reply is an opinion based on the information you send us. It is not legal advice and not a guarantee that a listing is safe or fraudulent.
5. Landlords' obligations
By publishing a listing you confirm that the information and photos are true, that you are the owner or are authorised to rent the apartment, and that you have the right to use the photos. We may refuse, edit or remove any listing, especially where verification cannot be completed.
6. Scam reports
Scam reports are submitted by users. We review them before publication and publish only what we consider reasonably supported, but they reflect the reporter's experience. You must submit only truthful reports. Anyone who believes a published report is incorrect can contact info@saferentrome.com and we will review it promptly.
7. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, SafeRentRome is not liable for the content of listings published by landlords, for agreements between users, or for losses arising from transactions between users.
8. Law
These terms are governed by Italian law. Mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence are not affected.
